Austin singer-songwriter Fredy Argir is back with a new band and new music. Argir is a native of Hibbing, Minnesota, but has lived in Austin for over 30 years. He was a regular at some of Austin's earliest music clubs, like the Checkered Flag, the Red Lion, Armadillo World Headquarters and the Alamo Hotel. He also toured on the National College Coffeehouse Circuit for 5 years in the late 70s. With this project, he returns to the electric format with a solid band that includes Chip Martin, John Dunn and Tal Wiginton. Argir's songs have been recorded by artists around the world, and this music-friendly setting at the New World is an ideal place to hear him. The show starts at 7:30 pm. No cover.
